Founded in 1956 the Chromatographic Society has become the oldest charitable organisation in the world dedicated to supporting chromatographers and chromatography. The support that CS provides, includes provision of financial bursaries to
assist students and career scientists to attend conferences and foster their participation in international and national events in separation sciences.
The Society is very experienced in running symposia and has organised scores of international and national conferences. As a charitable organisation it has used surpluses from these events to promote and support chromatographers and chromatography for its members and the wider scientific community.
The Society benefits from sponsorship by many industrial and instrument companies worldwide and is recognised as the leading opinion former for separations science expertise in the UK.
The Chromatographic Society is pleased to collaborate with Leipziger Messe to enhance the L.A.B. 2009 exhibition by mounting two independent seminars for chromatographers who wish to hear leading international experts speaking about the latest topics in separation science.
