Association for Instrumentation, Control, Automation & Laboratory Technology in the UK
GAMBICA is the UK Association for Instrumentation, Control, Automation and Laboratory Technology.
The Association's primary objective is to further the successful development of the industry and to promote the competitiveness and profitability of member companies.

The association works in many areas to ensure that members benefit from:

• Having up to date information on standards, directives & regulations regarding both their markets and their businesses.
• Representation to various government offices and agencies (e.g. NHS), industry, purchasers, regulators and others.
• Development of international business (through trade fairs, trade missions etc)
• Obtaining market data, forecasts and trends
• Being kept up to date on all the latest industry news & views
• Having access to a complete range of business support services (professional advice on taxation, employment, legal and many other services).
• Being able to input into EU and worldwide standards (through GAMBICA's membership of various EU trade associations - e.g. ORGALINE)

GAMBICA also carries out a range of services for member companies including:

• TOLLS - a UK and Eire tender alert service
• International distributors database
• Benchmarking for certain services (Salary, service rates and other surveys)
• Meetings of sector and specialist groups to provide an industry lead solution

There are principally five sectors within the membership:

• Industrial Automation
• Process Measurement & Control
• Environmental analysis and monitoring equipment
• Laboratory Technology
• Test and Measurement Equipment
